Frequently Asked Questions What does it take to make a reservation? Call us to schedule a reservation. We will need to obtain some information and a credit card number to reserve a watercraft for you. What if I reserve a watercraft or ATV and it is raining on my scheduled day? At 1 Stop Rentals we always wish for our customers to have an enjoyable rental. Due to the nature of our “Tow and Go,” watercraft and ATV rentals, we cannot cancel your reservation, because of poor weather. You have the option of visiting any lake or track of your choice and we are unable to forecast the weather conditions at every location. If you feel uncomfortable about the weekly weather forecast, we encourage you to cancel 48 hours prior to your departure to avoid a cancellation fee. What if I want to cancel my reservation? All reservations can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to your reserved departure time without a cancellation fee. If you fail to cancel prior to this 48-hour timeframe, there will be a $50.00 cancellation fee charged to your credit card. If you fail to show up for your reservation a “NO SHOW CHARGE” will be charged to your credit card for the full rental amount. What are the rental and operator age requirements? You must be 21 years of age or older to rent our watercraft / ATVs and 18 years of age or older to operate our watercraft / ATVs. Do you offer insurance on your equipment? NO. Rental insurance does not exist in the watercraft and ATV rental industry. Therefore all liability is the responsibility of the renter and safe usage is always the rule. Do you allow overnight rentals? Yes, we allow overnight rentals without an additional fee for our customers who rent for multiple days. Please call for details and availability. What are the hours for a full day rental? A full day rental is for 23 hours. Please refer to our pick up and drop off schedule for details. If the equipment or accessories get damaged, am I responsible for it? Mechanical malfunctions are investigated to determine who is responsible. Physical and mechanical damage to all rented equipment/accessories or improper use is the full responsibility of the renter. The renter assumes full responsibility for all equipment during the entire rental period. Please refer to the rental contract for full details. What is the amount of my security deposit? The security deposit is $300 cash per watercraft or ATV. This deposit is collected at the time of checkout. The security deposit is held, until the equipment is returned without damage and a full tank of fuel. If everything is returned in its original condition you’ll immediately receive your full deposit upon check-in of your equipment. How can I pay for my security deposit? 1 Stop Rentals only accepts cash for the security deposit. What is included with my equipment rental? Each ATV rental includes the following: · Helmet · Tow Strap Each watercraft rental includes the following: · Watercraft on a trailer · Free roadside assistance for the trailer · 3 adult life jackets · Fire extinguisher · Safety oar/paddle · Dock line · Anchor Each tube package rental includes the following: · 1 person capacity tube · Tow rope · Air pump – electric · Storage bag · Safety flag You must have another person (other than the operator) on the jetski to observe and hold the flag when the skier is in the water. Required by law! EQUIPMENT OPERATION FAQ’S How fast is the watercraft? The equipment we rent is capable of reaching speeds up to 50 m.p.h. However, the total combined weight of all riders on the watercraft may affect the top speed performance. Wind and water conditions may also have an impact on the top speed of the watercraft during your rental. How many people can ride on the watercraft or ATV? Each watercraft is designed for three people or 528 pounds of total weight. Each ATV is designed for one person. Do you have to mix oil with gas during the rental? No. All of our equipment uses 4-stroke technology just like your personal automobile. All you do is add regular unleaded gasoline and have fun! How long does a full tank of gas last during a rental? Fuel consumption is directly related to the total weight of all riders, the water/track conditions, and your riding style. On the average our customers only use one tank of fuel during the course of a full day rental. All of our watercraft units have onboard fuel gauges with an alert mode when you reach a low fuel level. The ATVs do not have fuel gauges, so check your fuel periodically during your ride. Where can I take my equipment for use? Our watercraft rentals can be used on any freshwater lakes and waterways within all 48 contiguous states. Watercraft rentals are not permitted for use outside of the continental U.S. or in any ocean or the Gulf of Mexico. ATV rentals can be used at the location of your choice within the continental U.S. Can you launch and retrieve the watercraft for us? Sorry, we do not offer this service. We will train you on how to launch and retrieve your rental watercraft when you check out the unit. GENERAL FAQ’S What is the difference between a Jet Ski, Waverunner, and a Sea Doo? All of these are brand names for Personal Watercraft (PWC). Jet Ski is a Kawasaki product, Waverunner is a Yamaha product, and Bombardier manufactures Sea Doo. At 1 Stop Rentals we feature 3 Seat Yamaha Waverunner watercraft. You commonly refer to Jet Skis, Waverunners, and Sea Doo throughout your internet site. Do you offer all brands? No. We only offer the 3-seater Yamaha Waverunner VX110. We commonly refer to all brands throughout our site to avoid a misunderstanding, since some people may not realize the similarities between each brand of PWC. What type of trailer hook up do I need to tow the trailer? Your tow vehicle must have an installed receiver and hitch, a 2-inch ball, and one of the following tow light harnesses. 4 prong flat wiring harness for the trailer lights or a 6-way/7-way round wiring harness. Picture Coming Soon (6 way round) This flat 4 wiring harness is compatible with all of our trailers. What if I have the 6-way/7-way round wiring harness on my tow vehicle? You’ll need a round converter to be compatible with our trailers. You can buy the converter or you can rent it from us for $10. What if I only have a square tube at the rear of my tow vehicle? Then you will need a 2-inch ball mount assembly. If you don’t have a 2-inch ball mount assembly we have this item available for a $10 rental fee. Here’s a visual example of how your tow set up will look. |
